Oogave – Mandarin-key Lime, Watermelon Cream & Ginger Ale

This time I’ll be finishing up Oogave’s flavors, Mandarin-key Lime, Watermelon Cream and Ginger Ale. There is one of them here that I really disliked, although I’m beginning to think it’s because of my own tastes.

I’ll get the Ginger Ale out of the way first. I really disliked this drink. I am beginning to think that my perception of what Ginger Ale tastes like is skewed because of drinking the cheap full of chemicals “ginger ale” by certain store brands. This isn’t the first Ginger Ale drink I’ve had that I really hated. As such I will be letting Jordan review any further Ginger Ale soda’s that we come into contact with. (more…)

Thomas Kemper – Root Beer & Orange Cream & Ginger Ale

Taking on some other flavors from Thomas Kemper, there are some good ones, and a not so good one.

I was very surprised by the Root Beer. This was the first time I’ve had a Root Beer soda plain, I’ve had them as Root Beer Floats, but never just as a soda before. It tasted good, with a hint of vanilla and the honey helped bring out a sweetness in this very creamy and smooth soda. Giving it a little shake resulted in a nice amount of foam. Was I suppose to do that? I don’t know, but it seemed like it softened up the flavor a little bit.

The Ginger Ale was my least favorite of this brand. In my opinion, the honey had a negative affect on the flavor. There was a bitterness taste to it that I really did not like. It wasn’t what I was expecting Ginger Ale to taste like. (more…)
